Our Story

Founded in Australia by international 5* event rider Hayley Frielick and good friend Katie Robertson. Hayley and Katie have global backgrounds and met through their time living in Edinburgh, Scotland. The name Dunedin came about as a blend of their nationalities - Dunedin, New Zealand, is the sister city to Edinburgh, Scotland and the logo features the shape of Australia, the NZ flag southern stars and the Scottish thistle. It was in Australia 2018 when Hayley was competing in her first 5* that the pair met Martha. They stayed closely in touch over the years and following a move to Ireland it was decided that Martha would join team Dunedin. Martha sources horses for Dunedin from all over Europe, and manages the day to day running of the horses and the barn from near and far.

Their aim is to produce quality event horses all the way through to 5*. The focus is on quality over quantity, with the approach instilling confidence in each individual horse to allow them to reach their own full potential in their own way. 

With their combined experience they possess an excellent eye for a talented horse and Hayley's patient approach focuses on producing confident horses who love what they do. They have had consistent success in sourcing and producing horses all the way through the 5* level, with those not meeting the challenging requirements of the level being expertly matched with their next lucky partner!

The venture relocated from Australia to the USA in 2022 and has now found it's base in Elverson, PA at the premier equine facility: Wyndsor Farm.
