Meet the Team

Katie is a CFO who brought the financial rigour, structural discipline and considered judgement of a career in finance to the sport horse world, and in doing so, built something that hadn't existed before: a sport horse business with genuine investment-grade foundations.

She oversees all ownership structures, partnership agreements, client relationships and business operations at Dunedin. Her background means that every syndicate is properly structured, every co-ownership arrangement is transparently documented, and every client is handled with the care they deserve. It's unusual in this industry, and it's entirely intentional.

Katie competed to the Intermediate level in the UK, and her eye for a horse remains a real asset to the programme. She and Hayley were connected through an equestrian centre in Edinburgh, the friendship that started there became the business that is Dunedin Sports Horses.

International 5★ event rider, based in the US. Began riding for Australia in 2026, competing at international championship level, with Aachen and Los Angeles the next targets ahead.

Hayley began riding in Sydney and spent formative years in the Scottish Pony Club before returning to Australia, where she produced horses to the 5★ level and earned back-to-back top-10 finishes at Adelaide CCI5★, and a place on the New Zealand Olympic longlist for Tokyo 2020.

In 2022, Hayley relocated to Cochranville, PA with self-produced OTTB Dunedin Black Watch, completing Maryland 5★ and establishing Dunedin's US base in Cochranville, PA (summer) and Aiken, SC (winter).

Martha's passion for horses began as a toddler and has led her into a career of coaching and sourcing quality horses. She has an impeccable eye for a horse, and Dunedin relies on her to source horses for the programme and its clients from across Europe.

She has an extensive network for finding the best horses, often ones not available on the open market. Primarily based in Ireland, she visits the US regularly and her attention to detail and organisational skills help keep everything running seamlessly across time zones.

Martha joined Team Dunedin after meeting Hayley and Katie at the Adelaide 5★ in 2018. Her European presence has become a key differentiator for the programme's sourcing capability and international reach.

Holly is a chocolate Labrador who made the trip from Australia to the USA with the team and has never once looked back. She takes her role as Chief Optimism Officer extremely seriously.

Her primary responsibility is quality control in the feed room, where she insists all food is sent to the lab for testing before it reaches the horses. She has never once failed to volunteer for this duty.

Holly has been part of Team Dunedin since the beginning, and the barn simply wouldn't be the same without her.
